Mom, Sam and I decided to take a road trip after Christmas to the Ohkay Owingeh pueblo casino, halfway between Santa Fe and Taos. On the way, we came across the Tesuque glass works, where they make glass sculptures and hold workshops. We didn't go inside, but we saw some of the colorful sculptures on the grounds.

We also came across some old buildings, this church being

one of the most interesting and beautiful I've seen.

in the Ohkey Pueblo that went over the river. We took a walk to stretch our legs, despite the windy cold. I lost the rest of the pics I took that day, somehow deleted a bunch. Bummer, but oh, well.

We finally made it to the casino, but it was really dinky and the blackjack tables weren't open until later, so we decided to head back to town before it got dark. We ended up at the Buffalo Thunder casino which was visually stunning, but we didn't stay very long. We had been to Camel Rock casino a few days earlier and each won some money. They were very, very friendly and nice, unlike the Buffalo. So we ended up the day at Camel Rock, where we each won a little more money at blackjack. I'm very good at walking away with a little in my pocket, not staying and giving it all back. Another successful excursion....
